Presentation
The PREANALYTICS focus project, supported by the PEPR SAMS program, was launched on October 11, 2024. On this occasion, the project coordinators, Hélène Esperou and Joël Doré, presented the project, its objectives and its structure.
PREANALYTICS aims to list and provide access to biological collections of microbiota, develop a standardized sampling process and establish best practice guidelines for pre-analytical processes. Bringing together the various players involved in this structuring project, the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the many areas of work involved:
- Structuring the network of biological resource centers for the microbiome, including :
- Mapping the network of microbial ecosystem collections
- Identification and selection of collection structures
- Identification of user needs and guidelines for future collections
- Coordination and integration of the network, in particular with other PEPR SAMS focus projects such as COHORTES-MICROBIOMES, Cultissimo and GNOTAmina.
- Logistical support for the pre-analytical harmonization platform, including guidelines and workshops, and benchmarking of new collection systems.
