The Cloud4SAMS focus project, supported by the PEPR SAMS program, was launched on September 26, 2024. On this occasion, the two project coordinators, Claudine Medigue and Nicolas Pons, presented the project, its objectives and its structure.
Cloud4SAMS aims to deploy a distributed digital infrastructure enabling the use of microbiome and health data in a secure computing environment. Bringing together the various players involved in this ambitious project, the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the many areas of work involved:
- Developing a catalog of digital resources
- Creating a secure IT environment
- Managing data access
- Disseminate open data in national and international repositories, and develop equipment and training courses
- Supporting the implementation of scientific ethics and regulations concerning data use
